I use fresh lemon juice in my cooking a lot. After juicing the lemon, I have no use for the peel anymore. Throwing it away seems like such a waste. Since lemon has natural anti-bacterial properties, I sometimes use the leftover citrus to scrub my cutting board. This time, I'm going to use the leftover lemon to make an after dinner tisane.
The combination of lemon and ginger can help boost your immune system. It can also help with digestion, which is especially useful after a heavy meal. How do you use your leftover lemon?
