I don't know about you but, on Sundays, I don't like waking up before ten. Ten is a perfect time to get up -- you're awake, you get dressed, you do whatever it is you need to do in the morning, and then guess what?! It's time for brunch! We have a tradition, Annemarie (my future-sister-in-law) comes over and we have whole wheat bagels and lox, with fruits and turkey bacon on the side. Now that is what I look forward to every Sunday.
Eddie contributes to brunch as much as he can. He goes and picks up the fresh bagels and the lox and he also cooks the turkey bacon! Turkey bacon is one of the few things that he cooks better than me and I love him even more for that.
I've watched him make turkey bacon a couple of times and they key to making it crispy and not burnt is to add a little oil (he usually measures a capful) and to constantly flip the bacon. About 8 slices of turkey bacon comes in a package but there's only 5 on the plate.
Eddie's response: "The turkey bacon didn't make it".
Translation: Eddie ate them.
